Aramark Nexus is hiring a Warehouse and Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, and materials management for a new, large-scale workforce community near Hereford, Texas, within driving distance of both Hereford and Amarillo.
This full-time management opportunity is a strong fit for an experienced Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager, Warehouse Manager, Inventory Manager, Materials Manager, Receiving Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or Materials Control professional who has managed purchasing and inventory across a complex hospitality, facilities, maintenance, food service, or operational environment.
The Warehouse and Purchasing Manager will oversee the complete flow of products and materials from purchasing and receiving through storage, inventory control, internal distribution, and financial reconciliation. This includes food and beverage products as well as facilities and maintenance supplies, MRO parts, tools, equipment, housekeeping products, operating supplies, and other materials used across the site.
A major focus of this position will be establishing strong inventory controls, including FIFO, par levels, SKU optimization, cycle counts, inventory accuracy, efficient storage, product movement, requisitions, and interdepartmental transfers . The manager will also partner closely with Finance to support accounts payable, invoice processing, receiving reconciliation, budget management, and purchasing controls.
This individual will work closely with culinary, food and beverage, facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, operations, finance, and other site leaders to ensure departments have the right materials available when they are needed while controlling inventory investment, waste, and operating costs.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, process driven, and safety focused, with the ability to build strong working relationships with vendors, shippers, operational leaders, and peers. This role requires someone who continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes, inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, product flow, and overall operational performance.
Lead purchasing, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, and materials management activities across food service, facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, and other site operations.
Establish and maintain strong inventory controls, including FIFO, par levels, SKU optimization, cycle counts, physical inventories, variance reconciliation, inventory accuracy, and obsolete or slow-moving inventory management .
Maintain appropriate inventory levels for food and beverage products, maintenance and MRO parts, tools, equipment, chemicals, operating supplies, and other materials while balancing product availability with inventory investment and storage capacity.
Oversee efficient warehouse organization, storage, staging, and product movement to support safe handling, accurate inventory, efficient space utilization, and timely distribution to operating departments.
Manage purchase orders, approved vendors, product specifications, pricing, contract compliance, SKU compliance, requisitions, interdepartmental transfers, and purchasing system accuracy.
Oversee receiving operations and ensure deliveries are verified against purchase orders and invoices for quantity, quality, pricing, condition, and product specifications before acceptance.
Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable to support invoice processing, three-way matching, receiving reconciliation, pricing discrepancy resolution, credits, documentation, and timely vendor payment .
Monitor purchasing activity and inventory investment against approved budgets, identify cost and usage variances, and maintain appropriate financial controls over purchasing and inventory activity.
Partner with culinary, facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, operations, and finance leaders to forecast demand, establish par levels, manage departmental requisitions, and respond to changing operational requirements.
Build effective relationships with vendors, distributors, shippers, carriers, and internal partners while proactively addressing shortages, substitutions, damaged products, delivery issues, pricing discrepancies, and service concerns.
Maintain a strong safety culture throughout warehouse, receiving, storage, and materials-handling operations, including food safety, sanitation, FIFO, HACCP, chemical handling, equipment safety, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Use purchasing, inventory, receiving, and operational data to drive continuous improvement , reduce waste, prevent stockouts, improve product flow, optimize SKUs, strengthen inventory accuracy, control costs, and improve warehouse productivity.
Supervise and develop receiving, warehouse, or inventory employees as assigned, establishing clear expectations for safety, communication, accuracy, organization, accountability, and productivity.
